Kicking off the top ten biggest economies in the world in 2030, Italy’s GDP will be $2,350 (£1,614bn) by then following a 0.8% increase from its value of $2,071 (£1,423bn) billion in 2016.
9) CANADA
Canada is projected to have the ninth biggest economy in the world by 2030 thanks to a 2.1% leap in its GDP. Increasing from a 2016 value of $1,829 (£1,256bn) billion, its economy will be worth $2,486 (£1,707bn) billion.
8) BRAZIL
A 2.5% growth in Brazil’s economic value will bring the country’s GDP up to $3,161 (£2,172bn) billion from its 2016 figure of $2,315 (£1,590bn) billion.
7) FRANCE
Taking a leap from its 2016 value of $2,809 (£1,929bn) billion, France is set to have an economy worth $3,476 (£2,388bn) billion by 2030 after a 1.5% increase over the years.
6) UNITED KINGDOM
After a 2.5% boom, the sixth biggest economy in the world in 2030 will belong to the UK. This means its GDP will increase from $2,710 (£1,861bn) billion to $3,815 (£2,620bn) billion
5) GERMANY
Germany’s economy will be worth a cool $4,308 (£2,958bn) billion in 2030 following a projected 0.9% jump from its value of $3,747 (£2,573bn) billion in 2016.
4) JAPAN
Should the projected 0.7% increase in Japan’s economic worth become reality, its 2016 GDP of $5,792 (£3,977bn) billion will rise to $6,535 (£4,487bn) billion by 2030.
3) INDIA
India’s economy is set to soar by a huge 6.9% in the next decade and a half, jumping from a GDP of $2,557 (£1,757bn) billion in 2016 to $7,287 (£5,004bn) billion in 2030.
2) CHINA
Following a 5% increase from its 2016 GDP of $9,307 (£6,390/) billion, China is set to boast an economy worth $18,829 (£12,935bn) billion by 2030.
1) UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
No huge surprise that the United States takes the number one slot with a projected GDP of $23,857 (£16,380bn) billion in 2030. This is a 2.3% increase from its 2016 value of $17,149 (£11,775bn) billion.
